Ya two studio albums of gold in a very small window where nobody in the band died...then years later a TV show theme song...it's not a very good resume in the grand scheme...plus look how ignored they were by the masses during their prime..."they let the dog bark junkie band in wtf.!" Is what most would say if they got in

Re: Janes Nominated for HOF
Fuck Def Leppard and their one-armed wife-beating piece of shit drummer.
Re: Janes Nominated for HOF
They are the worst band I have ever listened to. An old student sent me a link on FB a week or so ago about DL and Journey....apparently I went on a rant about them at some point; she thought it was funny that she remembered it after so long.
Re: Janes Nominated for HOF
Rage needs to get in. I want to see them perform again.
Re: Janes Nominated for HOF
Janes and Rage should do a tour.
Re: Janes Nominated for HOF
I mean Jane's should hitch their asses to a Rage tour as the opener. Since Tom loves them I could actually see that happening,
Re: Janes Nominated for HOF
I really wouldn't want Jane's ruining a Rage reunion tour.

Re: Janes Nominated for HOF
Jane's actually was opening for Rage a few years back in Arnhem (The Netherlands). It wasn't a succes. The crowd was there mainly for Rage and Jane's was just some irritating hurdle tot take before the real party could get started. In Europe Rage is a much bigger draw than Jane's is.

Similar issue in the UK at least with NINJA - over here the idea of Jane's and NIN being joint headliners was a headscratcher for most people. They still did it though...Eric B. wrote: ↑Fri Oct 12, 2018 12:00 amJane's actually was opening for Rage a few years back in Arnhem (The Netherlands). It wasn't a succes. Yeah, probably not. I was trying to make the point it'll never happen. I was thinking about Rage doing a one off when I saw that Living Colour, Fishbone, and Brass Against are doing a Brooklyn Bowl show in NY on November 6....free to people who voted. I just don't see RaTM doing anythingSix7Six7 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 11, 2018 6:48 pmDo they?
If Rage got back together, I think there is a greater chance of Public Enemy or Cypress Hill opening, given Morello's relationships with those people now.
Re: Janes Nominated for HOF
Ok, Radiohead, Janet Jackson, Stevie Nicks , Def Leppard, and The Cure are in. I was damn close again....they are predictable
Re: Janes Nominated for HOF
It’s fun to hate on radiohead but also ridiculous to question their brilliance. you don’t have to like them of course. You can also hate jazz or classical music or punk rock too. Anyway, The hall of fame is a fucking joke but if there were a legitimate standard for a hall of fame (the way baseball always followed one, until last week when they ruined it forever with Harold Baines and Lee Smith voted by a 14 member panel), Radiohead would hit by any measure.SR wrote: ↑Thu Dec 13, 2018 6:25 amOk, Radiohead, Janet Jackson, Stevie Nicks , Def Leppard, and The Cure are in. But my opinion, is the same as anyone’s opinion. Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one.
Roxy Music is a great choice. The Cure is deserving. Devo not being in is ridiculous. HOF hates post punk brilliance. (RIP Pete Shelley.) Stevie Nicks? Seriously? Not even nearly the best singer in Fleetwood Mac. Janet Jackson is pretty ridiculous. Lots of ticket sales and one big time album that she didn’t write or play any instruments. Jesus. Jermaine next? Def Leppard seem like shite but what do i know? Rundgren is a genius.
If Radiohead, Cure and Roxy all show up, I’m going (for free).

Re: Janes Nominated for HOF
Well to be fair ... jermaine jackson did more for r n b soul and funk in his younger years in the jackson 5 and the jacksons and deserves a little credit ... janet is just a pop bore riding off a family legend and copping the prince sound with her one credible album ... i would take jermaine over radiohead too since they sound like a cat being slowly strangled over some kind of computer blip randomizer ... like stephen hawking in a blender ... stevie nicks has a classic voice and wrote some outstanding songs .. she deserves it
Def leppard blow and the cure are up there with zep and stooges
