Perry had some stuff stolen

#1 Post by nausearockpig » Sat Jan 05, 2019 6:09 pm

Fuck, people are just shit. I hope those thieves die in a horrible way, really soon. After his stuff is recovered, of course.

I feel for him because of the piece from his father. But, when your wife is constantly bragging about all of your shit on social media...

Yeh that's true.. but still.. I hope he gets that back. Whatever else was in there is probably insured, and replaceable....

People are still shit though.

I have a Cartier and a Bulova (circa 1920's and my absolute favorite) and a gem encrusted pocket watch from the Navy distributed in WW2 from my dad. I have a diamond and emerald heart from my mom...all of them mean the world to me, but I never carry them on trips unless I am wearing the Bulova.

That theft looked like one of opportunity. They have a really good tape...should get solved, but the shit may be pawned by then. It's just as simple as that.

Similar thing almost happened to us yesterday. My wife pulled up late afternoon just as it was starting to drizzle and parked on the curb after going to the supermarket, popped the trunk open and came in to get me to unload all the groceries. She closed the front door so the dog wouldn't get out while going out in the back yard to get me. So there's our car with the trunk open loaded with a bunch of bags of stuff with no one around on a quiet residential street. I come out to find this young asian guy in a hoodie about to reach in and grab a bag outta the open trunk, shouted at him and he took off like a track star down the street, up and over a wall leading to a school's field. Not gonna chase a guy while wearing flip-flops.

Surprisingly, I've never had any packages like an Amazon delivery stolen from my front porch, including some that have sat overnight. I assume part of it is the big "Beware Of Dog" signs I have on your front and back gates and the fact that all our Labs have been blessed with big, mean-sounding barks, especially our current one who scares the shit out of people like the poor mail man/woman. That said, I'm about to the point of installing security cameras around the in and outside of the house.

When I read the title of the thread, I immediately thought “I bet it was Etty.” The actual story changed everything, of course.

What was that lyric that was a bit popular in the late eighties...? “When I want something I don’t want to pay for it”?

As we were moving the heavier pieces of luggages into our house after coming home from our Aspen holiday, we left Perry’s carry-on, an Alexander McQueen, on the ledge next to the gate. It wasn’t there when we went back for it.
Vacuous and superficial as ever, bless her.
She had to name-drop the brand for the luggage....and that they'd been Aspening.
Pity she didn't take time to mention how much the shoes she was wearing at the time cost.

 I was thinking the same thing. Or how heavy her YSL purse was to carry.

Which is exactly why I have almost zero sympathy.

I have sympathy.

For the robbers.

They probably sped off, got pulled over, had their car searched, and then had to explain why they were in possession of a suitcase containing a 6 month supply of adderall and xanax chopped into a fine powder.
