Is it just here or have other movie theaters re-released "Beetlejuice" to celebrate its 30th year anniversary? I saw it for the first time in a movie theater on Saturday. I remember seeing the trailer 30 years ago and I thought it was scary, hahaha. Plus, I was too young to watch. I watched it years later on video and absolutely loved it. I felt like a kid again when I saw it.
Can't wait to watch 'Us'.

Yep, same way "Back to the Future" and "Trainspotting" were re-released for their anniversaries. And I agree, Michael Keaton was pretty dope. Alec Baldwin was pretty pretty young, as well as Winona.

Enjoyed The Dirt. Obviously the book was way better, but the film was a lot of fun.

Although I’m not entirely sure why Ozzy Osbourne had an Australian accent :lolol:

I watched it over the course of a couple nights, mainly because Netflix kept crashing the first night allowing me to only get through the first 15 minutes.

I thought it was barely ok. At times it played out like some kind of raunchy slob comedy which was when it was at least entertaining. Any attempt to be "serious" such as Nikki Sixx's abusive childhood didn't leave much of an impact. I thought none of the actors playing the band looked much like their counterparts although at least the guy playing Tommy had the energy down. One funny bit was when they introduced their manager played by the actor who plays "Wags' in Billions as a very similar character here.

They glossed over some of the more assholishness of the band, especially Vince Neil - for instance, he was getting drunk at a Santa Monica bar with Mel Gibson the night his daughter died. The actor that played David Lee Roth looked about as much like Roth as I do. And yeah, the actor playing Ozzy took me right out of that scene. Like with all these rock biopics, the inaccuracies and shortcuts I could mostly overlook but the way they wrapped up the last 20 minutes simplifying and glossing over much of the band's history post-Dr Feelgood (1990) going straight to the (last) reunion (2006? 2015?) seemed kind of cheap.

He was also Gale Boetticher in Breaking Bad.

You know, I've never seen a single episode of Breaking Bad. And I really don't know why....

Just watched “Vice,” the Dick Cheney biopic. I’ve always regarded Cheney as the most likely person to be charged as a US war criminal in the wake of the Middle East war stemming from 9/11 so clearly, I have no love for the guy.

But holy shit, this movie paints him and everyone around him as despicable at best, and downright evil at worst. Bale is great as always and the makeup job they did on him is amazing. The movie makes a lot of parallels to the current administration and can’t help but take a dig at Trump in the closing credits. Some characters are almost cartoon versions of themselves (Bush Jr is every bit the clueless goof you’d get from an SNL skit). The movie moves back and forth through Cheneys timeline and occasional characters break the forth wall and speak directly to the viewer.

I can’t say it’s a great movie, but often aspires to be at least daring. It certainly doesn’t hide it’s bias.

I liked how they made it like a mockumentary. I have never been disappointed in any Christian Bale movie, even Little Women.
So I saw two movies yesterday. It had been a while since I saw them at a movie theater, one after another. I chose to watch "Mary Queen of Scots" with Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie. Both actresses wow, but I have to give it to Margot. I think she's my favorite actress nowadays. Can't wait to see her in "Once Upon A Time in Hollywood". And the second movie I watched was "Fighting with My Family" with Lena Headey aka Cersei and Nick Frost (some trivia, the guy who played Mary's husband was in the second movie and I didn't know until I googled about the cast) I love wrestling, but to be honest, I'm not into WWE. I found out about the Rock and John Cena as actors, not as wrestlers. However, I do like women wrestling better. Anywho, I didn't know about this Paige (hell, I don't know anything about any wrestler to be honest, but I do love going to wrestling matches) so it was a fun, big hearted movie and it was the antidote after watching the first movie (don't get me wrong I do recommend it but I like to watch a light, fun to watch movie after a serious/sad one)

Originally Quentin wanted Jennifer Lawrence to play the role of Sharon Tate but Sharon's sister lobbied against it saying she wasn't pretty enough.

This is a great show. I started watching this series on Netflix two weeks ago. I'm on season 3 ep 4. Strong writing and acting. I love the rapport between Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul.

I just finished the Breaking Bad series. Wow. That last season, specifically the last four episodes - OH! MY! GOD!

A Breaking Bad movie is in the works.

'Breaking Bad' Movie Is a Sequel Starring Aaron Paul and Will Air on AMC and Netflix

Netflix will have it first in a move that flips the script on how the original series was released on AMC and then sold to the streaming giant.
Additional details about the Breaking Bad movie are coming to light.

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the feature-length movie will be a sequel revolving around Aaron Paul, who will reprise his Emmy-winning role as Jesse Pinkman. Sources also confirm that Netflix will have first-run rights to the top-secret project, which will then air on AMC. (Representatives for AMC, Netflix and producers Sony Pictures TV all declined to comment.)

As THR previously reported, the Breaking Bad movie will be written by original series creator Vince Gilligan, who will executive produce the project alongside franchise collaborators Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein. Gilligan, sources say, will direct the film, which will follow the escape of a kidnapped man and his quest for freedom.

Speaking on The Dan Patrick Show, Bryan Cranston (who starred as Walter White) confirmed the Breaking Bad movie is indeed in the works. He noted he was unclear if Walter would appear in the sequel but said he would "absolutely" appear in the movie if Gilligan were to ask him.

"It's a great story and there are a lot of people who felt that they wanted to see some kind of completion to some of these storylines that were left open [in the series finale]," Cranston said. "This idea, from what I'm told, gets into those — at least a couple of the character show were not completed, as far as their journey."

He added, "I don't know if there's an appearance — flashbacks, flash forwards — but I'm excited about it because it's Breaking Bad and it was the greatest professional period of my life and I can't wait to see all those people again, even if I just come by to visit."

For his part, Paul earned three supporting actor Emmy wins for his role on Breaking Bad. His TV credits include a series-regular role on the upcoming third season of HBO's Westworld and Apple's Are You Sleeping. He continues to voice a role on and exec produce Netflix's animated hit BoJack Horseman and wrapped three seasons of Hulu's The Path. Paul is repped by UTA.

Went to see Endgame last night. Thoroughly entertaining and bladder-challenging. It felt like a fantastic ending for the saga.

i don't get your rating system. from what you said it should be at least an 8/10. 60% is considered failing (d grade) in school here.

i don't like superhere movies but i saw endgame. it was ok. i diidn't know a lot of the superheros or the back stories so that probably didn't help.

6/10

I think 6/10 is for a movie that’s decent on its own, but it’s far from being incredible or a film classic.

7 is a good movie, 8 is like “this was really good”, 9 is an incredible feat of cinema and 10 is a bloody masterpiece.

And yeah, I can see how you wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much if you hadn’t seen some/most of the other movies. Some of the most “meaningful” and shiver-inducing moments are only so important if you saw the previous movies and are invested in the overarching story to a degree.

you know what's kinda funny was how successful the first Police Academy was. Look at some of the movies it blew out of the park as far as earnings go.

This was a good movie. I've never seen someone so convincingly play the role of a prick like Alec Baldwin.
