It's a desperate need of approval.
I'm not sure about that considering he posts it everywhere and never seems fazed by the feedback. I think that they think they're pretty good and by posting it everywhere the masses will catch on.

Yeah, that’s another possibility. Maybe he’s trying to rack up some plays on YouTube (I think one of his songs has over 1,000 views.) Not sure why bother. It’s not as if he’s getting any money or anything out of it. The only 5 likes he gets per song are his bandmembers.

Yeah, in a different time I'd ban him. But it's fun to read the creative ways in which people destroy his music. If it seemed to matter to him I wouldn't enjoy it.

I'm feeling in a more positive mood than usual today. So here's something:

Your songs in general (including this one) are not only very poorly recorded and composed, but lack anything remotely attractive. As long as your songs lack a hook, a mood, 'colour'... they will not work. Your songs are completely forgettable, however decent your musicians might be. The singer is almost atrocious, by the way. Get rid of him.

I'm telling you all this from experience. I too had a band, recorded things with them, played gigs, etc. And we sucked donkey balls, but couldn't see it then. So I and several other people here, who are or were musicians, are telling you that all of your current repertoire is terrible. If anyone is congratulating you, they don't mean it. I'd bet that nobody, apart from the band members and the people who have to endure your rehearsals, would remember anything about your songs after listening to them. 100% of people in the real world would immediately skip your song if it appeared on the radio.

You can be congratulated on your persistence, your desire to keep writing and to improve your writing, and the improved quality of your recordings. But rest assured that the final product (i.e., your 'songs') wouldn't qualify for a shitty version of a shitty demo. They are a load of old arse. From 1 to 10, 1 being a monkey sitting on a piano and 10 being a Pink Floyd + The Beatles supergroup in 1967, your band is on a 2. So keep pushing forward, keep practicing, keep writing these pieces of rubbish and soon you'll get to a 3. But it's just as important that you don't pretend you're at a 4.

Hey Larry. How are you man? Sorry for the late reply.

Thank you for taking the time to make such a detailed review. I appreciate your honesty. It doesn't really matter if you like it or not. Right now, that's the best we can do.

Don't get me wrong, Larry. I really appreciate what you say. What I meant was for us, right now, the most important thing is that you guys give us a chance and listen our songs. Maybe someday we get it right.

Here’s my review of Delirious Grease’s latest single: Another absolutely dreadful performance by everyone involved. There is not one redeeming quality to this curse of a so-called ‘band.’ One wishes YouTube would ban them for violating my ears. If I feel stupider after listening to this drivel for 30 seconds, I can’t imagine the brain damage that the band members suffer from after having to ‘rehearse’ this enough times. Utter shit. Porra.

I think the time has come to pool into one digital reservoire (i.e., this thread) some highlights of the feedback our dear star musician has gathered for his band in the various forums where he has been posting their ‘songs’:

1. https://www.lpassociation.com/forum/thr ... ace.43867/ (Linkin Park forum)
like this
2. https://www.youngcomposers.com/t35836/n ... ous-grace/

Here, he received mostly positive and very constructive feedback from apparent composers. But our Alcapone talked about spirituality and how special a song is for him. He stopped posting here after one or two songs, which I find strange.

3. http://curefans.com/index.php?topic=8693.0 (The Cure)

No reply to his single post.

4. https://www.echoingthesound.org/communi ... ious-Grace

No replies to his multiple posts.

5. https://www.thedaftclub.com/forum/showt ... 8a59b664e7 (Daft Punk)

Two months after his initial post, a new user wrote “Great music... I like it”, prompting accusations that alcapone_dudu had created another, ‘fake’ account to post that message.
It’s bad!!!!! Not delicious.
Wtf is this thread
why does your music sound like a serious version of jamie stewart making fun of rock music
Stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I swear to GOD Delicious Grace if I find you I will give you the worst atomic wedgie you can ever think of and you will die immediately from the force pLEASE STOP!!!!
6. http://www.therushforum.com/index.php?/ ... ous-grace/ (Rush)
Sorry pal but it sounds like something off a compilation of worst auditions ever.

A lot of work needed.
After that post, from December 2018, Delicious Grace hasn’t received further replies. However, he signed his last post with “Rest in Peace, Neil”, so that desperate attempt might result in something.

7. https://forum.muse.mu/topic/22072-delicious-grace/ (Muse)

No replies.

8. https://www.songwriter-forum-kitchen.co ... west/5796/
Wow! I LOVE the way you end this tune! I love the whole thing, from that infectious guitar riff to the overall feel of the performance. What an....authentic...piece of music.

Nice job with this. Bet you could jam live with this for a long time.
Here, they absolutely love his songs.

9. https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/s ... ?t=1841552

Mostly, constructive criticism. Suggestions that he should fire the singer. Last reply from May 2019.

10. https://www.musesongwriters.com/forums/ ... nocturnal/

Some constructive criticism. Suggestions that the singer sucks.

————————————-

We are pretty much the only forum that has given him more than a month’s attention. We are good people.

Holy shit, I found some more:

11. https://www.morrissey-solo.com/threads/ ... ce.140913/ (Morrisey)
If you're going to be a singer, being able to sing would be a great attribute. This singer is terrible.
Well that's 6 minutes 49 seconds i'll never get back.
He created another thread for his songs beyond the fkrst, which have no replies except for a highly suspicious anonymous comment saying they hope “dg” keeps writing for a very long time.

12. http://www.mygnrforum.com/topic/219163- ... nt-4684083 (Guns ‘n Roses)

One comment, politely criticising most of his first song. No replies for the rest of his repertoire.

13. http://arcticmonkeysus.com/forums/index ... her-bands/ (Arctic Monkeys)

You need to create an account to read his thread, and I’m not ready to do that.

14. https://www.classicrockforums.com/threa ... ace.37402/

Here, I can confirm that even his **replies** are copied and pasted. Not only that, but after receiving criticism on the quality of their recording, here’s part of his answer:
What really happened with low quality of this recording was that we had very little studio time. Almost everything you hear on this song is first take. I have a version of this song in a better sound quality but I could not stand it because, for me, it sounded soulless. I could not stand that.
He received quite constructive criticism, similar to that found in the first pages of this very thread; however, they gave up on dg’s ability to actually integrate their feedback in Septembre of 2018. He has kept posting, but hasn’t received a single reply since then.

15. https://discussion.ntrack.com/t/delicio ... -you/16374

Most of his posts have been flagged and are hidden. He received only a couple of replies, quite positive.

16. https://www.acdcfans.net/forum/comments ... e=1#Item_0 (AC/DC)

Right from the start, his “being influenced by AC/DC” was put into question. His answer:
AC/DC is one of the main influences of this group in various aspect. It could be the attitude, the way of making songs, etc.
He goes on to request some respect because it took him a long time to register in the forum so he could post his songs. Some of the feedback received includes “SHITE”, “WTF” and “FUCK ME DEAD”.

17. https://forum.atu2.com/index.php?topic=32410.0 (U2)

No replies. Trying since December 2017. Latest post: 4 days ago.

18. http://queenzone.com/forums/1491568/new ... grace.aspx (Queen)

One reply that said nothing, really.

19. http://kiss-france-forum.forumactif.com ... ious-grace (Kiss)

One reply after his first song, no replies since then.

———————————

Ok, I think I’ll stop now. I’m feeling impressed, sad, angry, suspicious and amused.

He should be a promoter, not a musician.

As an experiment in style, it’s alright.

The singer must be banished from the continent. He hasn’t got ONE talent and should be nowhere near this project.

Ok. I see what you mean. We've recorded with another singer and you guys are going to listen to it very soon. It's another song in portuguese. Hope you don't mind.

Hello everybody. Hope you're all doing just fine.

New song: ''Pistoleiro Dimas''. Just to get you guys into perspective: This song is about a kind of a legend that tells a story of a man who turns into a killer, a hitman, to provide for his family. It consistantly happens accross northeast Brazil especially. Not in this romantic scene though. Hope you enjoy it.

I just want to say “thanks”. Your songs have helped me realise that the bands I played in when I was 22 weren’t that bad. I should be more thankful for that.

You're welcome.

I'm curious to see your work, man. Is there anything available online?
