You know there's never really been an actors who's body of work came close to Matt McConaughey's in the decade of the 20'10's
The Lincoln Lawyer
Killer Joe
Interstellar
Mud
Dallas Buyer's Club
True Detective

That's what I call having a good run

I recently had to travel and had time to see a bunch of movies. Quick rundown:

- This is England. Engaging, but quite predictable. 5/10.

- Christiane F. A bit boring, but I can definitely appreciate its value. 6/10.

- Come and See. Too lethargic for me. 4/10.

- Joker. Entertaining, for the most part. Very overhyped. Not an Oscar-worthy performance by Phoenix. 6/10.

This is England is at least a 6 out of ten. I've been wanting to watch Come and See. Everyone always has it on top of their favorite war movies to see.

I watched Hacksaw Ridge the other week. That was brutal, but very good.

I was re-watching The Revenant today. Leonardo won best actor but the award probably should have went to Tom Hardy

I saw Get Out today for the first time. I enjoyed it. I didn't realize the main actress is Brian Williams tthe nbc news journalist daughter. She plays a great villain in that flick.
