Nope. Today has really proved my point.

the chiefs barely beating the panthers?
the steelers barely beating the cowboys?

what about the team blowing out the bucs?
packers?
if seattle improves their defense a bit they are right there.

way too early to make a statement like that.

if seattle does go to the superbowl i will be the biggest afc fan out there.
A win is a win is a win. I mean hell, the Panthers threw everything and the kitchen sink at the Chiefs and still lost. Seattle is not "right there" with the top 3 of the AFC. Saints beating the Bucs has zero to do with my point. Or does it? There's no real separation amongst the NFC. No obviously great team.

And halfway through the season is not too early to start saying the NFC does not look as competitive as the AFC. Or that the AFC Championship game will probably feature two teams better than the Super Bowl. In fact, that's not a controversial statement at all. I don't think too many experts would disagree with that statement. Let's look at the power rankings tomorrow and see how far down you go until you see an NFC team. I know Power Rankings don't mean anything but it will further my point that there are not many people that will have an NFC team competitive with the AFC.

Wow Drew Brees with a bunch of broken ribs and a collapsed lung. That one hit was pretty brutal i'd post it if I had it. This is only more good news for Tampa.

Seahawks vs Cardinals tonight. Choose your bird. That last game when these guys played was pretty epic.

This could be an NFC Championship preview. I'm going Seahawks, picking experience over new talent.

Right. But fun game nonetheless. Do you honestly think either of these teams are better than Chiefs/Steelers?

the chiefs are probably the best team in the league now. i'm not sold on the steelers. how often does the betting favorite at the start of the playoffs win the superbowl? any team can lose in the playoffs. the ravens were favored last year when the playoffs started. i might be a little biased but i don't think the best team won last year. this isn't the nba where the best team usually wins. :noclue:

Justin Herbert is on pace to be the best rookie QB in NFL history. He’s on pace for

397 completions (1st all time)
4,498 pass yards (1st all time)
37 passing TDs (1st all time)

Naw it's only because the nfl doesn't let the qbs get touched or the wr's...they should just redshirt all qbs and make it two hand touch to tackle them...record books are worthless now

I don't disagree, but all homerism aside, Mahomes is a ridiculous talent. I've been watching football for 30 years, and have seen some of the best ever in person during that time. And the kid is special.

It was seeing this play live, his first ever home game, that made me instantly realize I was watching a generational talent.

I immediately turned to my (then) 10 year old son and said "you may be watching the beginning of one of the great careers in NFL history." It was that damn impressive. And he's done nothing to change my mind since.

We were there for the "no look" pass against Baltimore. The 30 second TD drive to take the 2018 AFC Championship game in to OT. The playoff comebacks, including the 2019 AFCCG. It's been incredible to witness. The only thing I can compare it to is like watching MJ play in Chicago in the early 90s, McGwire breaking the HR record in 1998, and the Greatest Show on Turf Rams in '99. There were a few moments with Pujols after that.

As far as QB play, the only others I've seen live that had that same WOW factor were Warner, Manning and Favre. Brady is up there, but he never just floored me with his talent outside of accuracy and ability to see the whole field. Nothing eye popping from him individually when watching in person.

I'm just happy my son has at least one "magic" sort of sports thing he can say he was there for.

Regardless of the era.
