I heard them for the first time 2 weeks ago and have been listening to them quite a lot since. Powerful stuff!parklife03 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2019 1:58 amIdles is playing Lollapalooza Argentina 2020. I would love to go see them, but they're surely going to play 45 min under the sunlight. And I don't really care about the other artists.
I hope they do a sideshow.

They are one of those rare bands that imo, would do just as well in broad daylight on an out door stage as at night with a lighting production.parklife03 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2019 1:58 amIdles is playing Lollapalooza Argentina 2020. Their NY show reviews were off the charts

I have a ticket waiting for the Feb. 8th Warfield show. Just up to me if I'm able to make it or not.

I might go see The Struts next month, they are playing the House Of Blues near me and they appear to be a fun band to catch. Other than that, I'll probably break down and finally catch Rammstein when they play LA later this year.

Re: Live shows in your agenda?
2019 was the first year since 1994 that I didn't go to a single concert all year. Damn. Getting old, I guess. Went to a few stand-up comedy shows, but that's not quite the same.
But the dry spell ends with Trail of Dead next Wednesday. Should be fun. Have dug them a long time but haven't seen them live before.

Because I'll try to catch any Fishbone show that comes near me, I drove down to Orlando to see them at the Rising Vibes Festival. Great set as usual and loving the contribution from the new guitarist, Mark Phillips.

Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Pre-COVID, I was a little bummed out because I didn't have any tickets for shows or Raptors games. The ones I was interested in were sold out in the cheap tickets or way over-priced for me. Now, I'm not so bummed because I don't have to try to get a refund. I read a friend's Facebook post that said TM is only refunding cancelled tours, not postponed/rescheduled shows. I think under the circumstances, people who want a refund, regardless of tour status, should get one.
My only show for 2020 was Michael Kiwanuka and it was excellent!

Just glad I got to a couple Lakers games and took my mom to see them vs Steph in preseason...

Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Basically, TM altered their terms *after* things went south leaving ticketholders either with the option of trying to get a refund through their credit card holder or via some legal means. There's already talk of a class action lawsuit but we've seen how well that option went for fans after the last settlement.
TM policy before Covid
After the shit hit the fan
Even better, if you bought resold tickets off Stubhub for events now postponed or canceled, they are only offering "vouchers," not actual refunds.

I have Guns n Roses and FNM tickets still floating out there for August and September. Guess those will be useless. And my Chiefs season tickets.

LA Mayor Garcetti said this week he basically doesn’t see any kind of concerts or sporting events of any size happening at least here in SoCal before Spring 2021.

good lineup

I didn't realize most of those bands were still together
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
I just registered for the pre-sale 'verified Fan' for Billie Eilish 'Happier than Ever" tour for a show in February 2022. Pre-sale starts Wednesday and Friday is the public on-sale. It's been so long since I last used Ticket Master; I fogot my password! I'm feeling excited and optimistic about the return of live music.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
First post-pandemic show booked- Billie Eilish.
The verified fan process worked really well today. No problems booking, but no option for hard-copy ticket by mail.
