Just got tix on the pre-sale for Roxy Music 50 (No Brian Eno though. ) St Vincent opening!
Unfortunatrly, it is the same night as Idles, will have to sell those tix.

I haven’t been to many gigs since my kids were born but I’ve spent a load of money that I don’t have for shows this summer
Rhcp with Anderson Pak and Thundercat - London (taking my little boys, they’re so excited )
Ben Harper - Brescia, Italy
…and then a few gigs at d’annunzio’s old gaffe in Gardone,Italy. It’s about 2 miles from my house and an incredible outdoor venue that has hosted Lou reed and billy corgan in the past, every summer it has great acts. I have tickets for
Jeff Beck
The Fantastic Negrito
Michael Kiwanuka
Beth Hart

Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Interpol last night, I think this is the best concert photo I've ever taken.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
Riotfest lineup came out about a week ago in case no one saw
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
way better than lollapalooza but probably one of the weakest riot fests.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
I finally saw War on Drugs last night, and fuck me. What a show. They played for over 2 hours. Incredible light show. And a band that plays incredibly tight yet jams each song a bit longer. Lo Moon opened, and they're really good as well. I like their albums, but they were definitely better live. Same with WoD, except I adore their albums.
Re: Live shows in your agenda?
So I saw The Dead South (Canada's finest bluegrass) and The Wonderstuff in a week. Both superb, Wonderstuff very much so.
Reminds me of when Jane's opened fopr them in Brixton in 91. Miles Hunt has always had a soft spot for Perry.

Re: Live shows in your agenda?
I saw Jeff beck with jonny depp last night. Jonny was actually really good, and Jeff killed it stone dead. He’s 78 years old!
Also saw Michael Kiwanuka last week, really good!
Tonight me and my boys are seeing Beth hart, then on Thursday Fantastic Negrito!

Going:
OSEES
King Gizzard
Ty Segall
Nick Masons Saucer Full of Secrets
Wand & Melt Banana
Maybe:
NIN (have seen them 3 times post ninja and all were subpar)
would like to see Roxy Music & St. Vincent but think I'm done with the hassle, prices & quality of arena/stadium shows

Re: Live shows in your agenda?
I'm going to King Gizzard too in October.
Also the Roxy show. I paid $155 incl. svc chg($30! )(cad) for seats in the first section above the floor, centre, 11 rows back, so not bad. I agree the prices at arena/stadiums are ridiculous! I figure, Roxy Music are no spring chickens, better see them before they get too old or I get too old..lol. I love St Vincent...seen here a few times over the years. Once with David Byrne and twice on her own. Her style has really changed from when she first came on the scene- I like it! To me she's like a melange of Prince, Bowie and Janelle Monae.
