No surprise, but people are saying venue personnel in Pittsburgh said Jane's is off the tour entirely.
Tt could be an old pic but Dan posted a new photo from the tour bus. If they are off the tour I doubt he would be on the bus.

Occam’s razor says it was Eric’s snarky reply to the TGEA 11th(!!!) anniversary post.

On the legit, up-and-up side, it could be a Perk injury.

Saw that but maybe he’s heading home or to the airport.

Looks like Our Lady Peace is doing the Toronto date.

I hope it’s not another arm infection for Perk

OLP Twitter account teasing “big news” — I guess they’ll open the Canada shows.

Maybe rest of tour if JA are off.

This is nuts! I too am glad I didn't spring for tickets . I was almost lured in though, especially with Daniel Ash as a guest.

I am bursting to know what happened! #Columbo

When I saw "personal injury" I immediately thought overdose, which could be a reason why they've been stingy with information.

"Personal injury" also made me think of the subway announcements when people jump on the tracks. I really hope that suicide is not the reason.

My next thought was a physical altercation, a fight as Diabolik mentioned. Or maybe, someone fell of the stage during soundcheck and broke/sprained something.

Hopefully everyone in Jane's is ok and hopefully they are still a band!

I'm thinking Perry maybe injured himself during sound check, maybe he fell ??? Or, maybe a Pumpkins roadie hit on Etty and Perry flipped out lol. Fucking drama. So eventually Etty has to go on Facebook right? So crazy all the dead silence.

I wouldn't say they're rubbish. I like a few songs and saw them live many years ago, not bad. They're in no way an equivalent replacement for JA, but at the last minute what are you going to do, eh? Drake is probably too expensive. 😄

Personal injury can be financial. I’m wondering if there was a fuck up in the agreement with Troy about compensation. If he said fuck you, the band is fucked for any immediate performance

Yeah, they suck; cheesy generic/mainstream “alternative” rock of the mid-late 90s.

Oh, and I do see what you did there. 🇨🇦

Disregard, quoted wrong. But still could be a Troy issue as the core 3 seemed to be getting on so well

I Mother Earth would have made a hell of a lot more sense. But they were pretty shitty the one time I saw them, reunited with Edwin. I've never seen OLP, but I was a huge fan of theirs as a pre-teen when they were at their biggest on CanCon radio-play. I guess it could be interesting. Up in the air whether I'll go tomorrow or not.

The silence from the pumpkins camp is odd too. Like weird that Billy Corgan didn't say anything during the show. Just so bizarre all around.. maybe it was a physical altercation between camps.

Weirdly I also think it could be Troy?

The weird silence has an air of trying to save face — or at least figure out the best legal way forward?

I find the entire thing shocking

MSG Perry was in a fanatics mood, joking with Eric. Band was right. Special guests were out making the night … special. Lots of thank you’d say the end of the show…

Again, maybe there’s an awful injury or something…but as with the last minute announcement of no Dave…it’s all very fly by the seat of your pants.

My worry is that we’ll get a vague statement like

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Jane’s Addiction will no longer be supporting Smashing Punpkins for the remainder of this tour.”

And then that’s it.

Billy and SP camp not saying anything —feels like the actions a lawyer tells you to take,

Did Perry fight troy lol. If someone was injured during sound check, wouldn't someone from the venue know? Was an ambulance called? How does none of that info get out? But a fight backstage, or someone quitting could be kept quiet. But where did the pinched nerve story come from?

I don't think it's Troy. I would think he knows enough to just show up and collect a check.

I also don't think it's Perry vs Eric.

My guess is that Perry blew his voice out and is getting checked out to see if he can continue the tour. :noclue:

Definitely. I believe they opened for Porno for Pyros in Toronto during the Good Gods Urge tour. I think Our Lady Peace scored this gig because they’re buddies with Billy (They headlined the Summersault tour in ‘00 together).
