OK, so a convoy of 4 cars draped in italian flags just drove by my place. horns honking, and some asshole on a megaphone thing shouting "ITALIA! ITALIA!" :eyes:

i think the game starts in about 6 0r 7 hours.

A little early in the morning, but I love it. Forza Italia.

I spent the night in a music/arts cellar run by Italians. we talked about everything except football  :hs: I did remember to wish them good luck for tonight's game. I hope they win, I think I like Italy better than Spain.

haven't heard any crazy fans so far. but they will be here once the final is decided.
I did see a crazy motorcyclist go 200km p/h in the city centre last night though: a drunk motor sports fan who had been to the TT, local Moto GP race. fucking nutter was racing circles through narrow streets.

Geniuses!!

:worship: :worship: :worship:

Not one low point in this final. Fabregas and Xavi made Pirlo almost invisible. And goddamn', Xavi's passes... :worship:

Del Bosque made beautiful substitutions; not only because 2 of them scored, but because he included both Chelsea players on the field. Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea made the entire team that finished the match.

Unreal.

What amazes me is that most of theses players have played more games than anyone else. They keep the ball better than anyone else. That's why it's so easy for them. I loved the final tonight, what an amazing team.

Spain were in another class or world tonight. I hated it but it is true. That was a thing of beauty. I lost a bet and most fly to Spain to buy my friend a beer.

Called it, they have been playing really well in the last 6-8 years internationally, they're what the other clubs are striving to be.

Well since Brazil was not playing in a Euro tournie I thought the sarcasm was pretty glaring... the saddest part about this whole thing is I actually watched soccer combine that with nothing on TV it gets rather boring.

Well I do not even like soccer so its whatever as for the other sports I have my teams and sometimes they suck and sometimes they do not. I don't follow any other teams so I do not see how that is flip flopping if you have ONE team and that is not flip flopping that is being pissed that a team you follow and love sucks. If I were flip flopping I would be a Heat fan right now.

I don't think it's possible to compare Brazil of 1970 and today's Spanish team. There are an incredible amount of factors that have changed in all aspects of the game. Spain show how football is played properly., and that is why La Liga is the greatest league in the world. The Premiership is great, has it's upsets, it's magical moments and it's controversy but it's not a patch on the Spanish league.

Juana, how can you say it's boring? Isn't it exactly the same as any other team game trying to achieve something at the oppositions end?

I like basketball the most, exciting scoring and defense. Granted there is a lot of defense in soccer/football for the 90 minutes there is not enough excitement inthe term of scoring. That is the sole reason I think more 'roids need to be in baseball.

Incredible.

A few friends and I made a couple of bets related to the cup. I've already won one, predicting that Wales were going to lose in the semi-final. My other bet is that Germany wins the cup. One of my friends already lost (bet on Italy), one of the others bet on Portugal and the other one on France.

It's a tough one for today, though. Regardless of what anybody says, predicting today's result is nearly impossible. But go Deutschland.

The only good quality free livestream I managed to find for this game is with Polish commentary.
