Rutgar's The Man! He's one of the few actors that can make even the shittiest of movies at least momentarily interesting when he's onscreen. Although wearing a badly designed blonde wig and being Sookie's "fairy" whateverthefuckrelative might be a challenge even he can't surmount.perkana wrote:Where is the world coming to?

Will anyone be watching True Blood tonight?
Re: True Blood (HBO)
I'll probably watch it tomorrow after it's been posted on one of those streaming sites.
A friend of mine had all the seasons downloaded so I watched them over the last couple of months.

It's just one of those shows I love to hate
Re: True Blood (HBO)
It's true. The seasons got lamer and lamer but I couldn't stop watching. It's like junk food. You know it's bad for you but you can't stop eating it.

Re: True Blood (HBO)
My wife made me order HBO this weekend for another season and since this is one of the few shows I'll watch with her even though I'm not much of a fan anymore, yeah... I'm in. Hopefully Rutgar Hauer won't be wasted in his role.
Re: True Blood (HBO)
i have lost all hope for this series. hopefully they can shock me and bring it back to what it was. while it was never great it was still fun to watch.
Re: True Blood (HBO)
I'm just stubborn and am seeing it out until the end. I remember my wife and I laughing at the end of last season and mocking Bill, the new super vampire or whatever. It has gotten dumb, but yeah, we've come this far..

Also, Alcide..
Re: True Blood (HBO)
i swear i'm done. i really don't care about any characters. i was bored by this episode.
Re: True Blood (HBO)
I only watch to see Jessica. When she isn't on screen, I tune out.
Re: True Blood (HBO)
Yeah, lousy first episode
Also, wasn't that obvious they're using Jessica to keep you interested...what's up with her tearing her shirt up, I thought that was funny

Re: True Blood (HBO)
Literally picked up directly from last episode of last season, so it was pretty much the same. Not psyched, not let down. I don't expect much from this show which was only ever good in the first season, imo.
After the Mad Men finale next week I'll be shit out of top rate tv shows. At least there's True Blood as a trashy consolation prize. Rutger Hauer was nice and creepy. He thrives in B-movie level material, so he'll be right at home.

Re: True Blood (HBO)
I have only watched this season's first episode, is it over yet?
Re: True Blood (HBO)
Oh yeah, it's still on. I keep finding that I often wait a few days before I bother watching the latest episode, but I still get around to it. You really get the feeling you're just going around in circles. It seems everyone is always in the same agitated state so it's all kind of a big blur. You can't really have that much drama like that, imo, but I guess they make a lot of money from it so...

It's been a few days now so this shouldn't be too much of a spoiler for anyone still watching this show but the end of this week's episode with the fade-in of Led Zep's "In The Evening" with what was happening was one of the few "cool" moments this show has given me. It reminded me of that out-of-left-field wtf use of Bowie's "Cat People" in Tarantino's Inglorious Basterds.
Re: True Blood (HBO)
Yeah, the only way this show can be somewhat credible is to kill more main/kinda main people. Last weeks killing was cool. Obvious, but done wellPandemonium wrote:It's been a few days now so this shouldn't be too much of a spoiler for anyone still watching this show but the end of this week's episode with the fade-in of Led Zep's "In The Evening" with what was happening was one of the few "cool" moments this show has given me. Re: True Blood (HBO)
The only thing that spoiled that bit was Alex Skarsgard's horrible acting. Dude just does not do crying/grief well. Which was even more frustrating because in the previous episode, his cocky attitude in the vampire prison was well played.blackula wrote:Yeah, the only way this show can be somewhat credible is to kill more main/kinda main people.
