He was known for producing the first 2 Jane’s Addiction Albums Nothing’s Shocking and Ritual De Lo Habitual, he was a great producer and a fun guy. Thanks for the good times, you will be missed.

A damn shame- don’t think he had been actively producing for a long time but said he would consider working with Jane’s again if Eric ever came back.
Wonder if they will pay tribute

That’s a shame. Janes should have recorded that final album with him.

RIP. He was one of the greats. I remember years ago seeing on Facebook that he had gone to the la cita show in 2008. Always thought it was cool he seemingly kept some kind of relationship with the band over the years.

He had a reverence for the band/albums just like a true fan would. Dumb fucks should have got their act together years ago and got hime to produce their next album. Oh well.

R.I.P. Dave Jerden July 25, 1949 – February 5, 2025
Produced these two great albums besides Jane's in my collection, Dirt by Alice in Chains and Love Spit Love Self-titled.

RiP Dave Jerden and my sympathies to his family and everyone that knew him personally.
As a fan, Im grieving in my own way. The way he produced Janes will always be the way I hear them in my head. It will always be the sound I compare them to againist all later efforts. Im massively sad they were not able to make one final studio record with Dave Jerden and all four original members.
In the Janes universe it always seemed like there was a chance to reclaim their original glory. This paricular bell cannot be unrung and it hits hard. Harder than any of the recent band events. Thank you, Dave Jerden. The sound you created defined my youth and was truly something.

Drag. I think of him when I think of the raw growl sound of NS. Thx
