Really wasn't on him, having back troubles and Roberts didn't switch after 5IP then an error lead to the other 3 runs charged to him. They always leave him in too long. 90 pitches in 5 innings he didn't have even decent stuff tonight. Is what it is, hopefully big changes happen, but whatever. Think I will become a Cardinals or Giants fan, at least they do not choke.

Yeah I was crazy lucky that I got into giants in 06, right when bonds was leaving. Like really into them because I felt like shit most of the time and baseball was good to pass the time.
Then they win 3, year on, year off....with a really great group of guys... that was great and to see them go from shit to great.

So should I say something like "at least his house in Dallas is not in danger of burning" (news flash its not and when they lose hopefully tonight he can drive home) ? This L was on Roberts by putting someone out there that needs back surgery longer than he could handle again...

I watched the game with my mom...she's was a dodger diehard as a kid with kofax and drysdale ...after she had kids she just passively rooted for them in the playoffs..she doesn't really follow close....she's a Laker diehard both teams were her mother's love along with ucla (my dad was an usc fan who didn't like baseball...shocker what I became) but she was telling me when justin turner was at bat that he played in long beach pony baseball as a child and she saw him play a lot as she along with ironically my baseball hating dad (he hated control freak parents in youth sports more than baseball itself) were Pony Baseball Directors for decades...she then goes on to tell me atlanta's catcher, standing behind turner, was also a long beach pony kid...and she saw him in the pony world series one of the couple times she fly back to pennsylvania for the world series....small fucking world....surreal moment

So since you shared a story....
In 2009 my wife did an internship in LA, she knew I knew people but I told her to be herself and enjoy it (2 months earlier I took her to Tangier and to Paris for the 4th time) so she called me one day saying "its not baseball season but there are Dodgers flags" my response was "it's a Dodgers and Lakers town, the only thing that beats them is the ocean"

I was almost ready to check the Dodgers off as super underachievers. Never been a fan but respect them as an organisation for many reasons

Wow that sucks....justin turner was yanked mid game with a positive covid test and missed his team winning it all...brutal...
Lakers firework show was way better, a non sports fan thought a war was starting when the Lakers won...I texted him tonight...dodgers won, not a war..

Blue Jays are back in Toronto starting this evening against KC.
Last time they played here was Sept 2019! 15,000 fans will be allowed in.

The bluejays are playing great they still have another 3 game series against Tampa. The White Sox are cruising along with Tony Larussa at the helm. The Giants are on fire this is going to be a good playoffs.

I don't have any expectations of the Jays winning it all, but I do hope we can at least get into the playoffs this year. It's been an enjoyable season for sure.
