I actually went in with my brother for season tickets for the Dodgers this season so I will probably get to go to 20-30 games this year! Hurray flier miles I will be getting!
But I will be there opening day, like I have been for the past 27 years.
ok talk about your teams since mine sucks
I am a recovering Mets fan...haven't closely followed the team since 2005...and I refuse to set foot in Citifield until they sell that team and get that front office together. People keep supporting crappy teams with their money and give the organization no incentive to improve the club too much, imho. I call it the NY Knicks Syndrome...
I watched an on demand replay from a few days ago of the 2013 team...
I watched a Mets Classic show right after from 9/27/86...it was literally Dave Magadan's first start...I wanted to cry...this is all Lenny Dykstra's fault...

I wish Nelson would buy them back. He loved the team & liked to spend money on them
There was a cool article in the daily news the other day. It was about the mets and Yankees and the writer asked a few GM's who they would rather work for based on the team as a whole. Everyone agree that the Yankees could never be counted out based on their money, but they all said talent wise the mets were the team with a solid future. The GM's love the young talent. Wheeler, Harvey and Niese will be a solid starting top 3 in a rotation. It's all about pitching and now they are starting to put together a team. The catcher they got for Dickey should be good, they have Ike at 1 st and locked up Wright. The outfield blows but that's an easier fix in free agency than other positions. The Wilpons suck, but as long as they let Alderson put together this team they will be contending 2014 and on
April 20th (vs. San Diego Padres), Little League Day at AT&T Park!
"Nothing is more exciting to a little league player then to be on the same field they've seen all of their favorite Giants players on! Children of all skill levels are encouraged to attend this special day at AT&T Park. The young ball players will be able to listen to players and coaches tell stories of their little league days before the game as well as offer playing tips! Get a group of 25 or more together and you will get to see your team's name and location on the big screen for the entire park to see.
There will also be a league banner parade on the field as well as special kid giveaways. The most anticipated part of the day will be after the game when all the little leaguers will get the chance to run around the bases, just like the pros they see on TV. Your child does not want to miss out on this exciting and educational day with the Giants team so get your little league team together and purchase tickets early to this once a year event!"

But the problem is Fred won't spend the money on any solid veteran to guide the "kids"
What was the key to the 80's team? We had all that home grown young talent, solid veterans as leaders. Hernandez & Carter.
wow i just hear the jays home opener game tomorrow against Cleveland is sold out tomorrow. that might not be a big deal in other cities, but the jays haven't sold out a home opener for years. scalpers are getting $200 to $2,200 each for midfield seats!
