Michael Kiwanuka and Brittany Howard is my next show in a couple weeks, followed at the end of the month by David Gilmour at Hollywood Bowl on Halloween.

I think the only tickets I have after that are for Benjamin Clementine in Dec.

Hoping for Nick Cave & Bad Seeds date in Los Angeles. . .

I saw Sturgill Simpson last night and it was one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to. Just incredible. He played for three hours nonstop with hardly a break between songs. It was like The Doors meets the Grateful Dead and Waylon Jennings.

Haha...this tour announcement is great!

Seen Joan Jett before, not Billy Idol though...would be a fun double bill for old people like me. I'm going to wait for the $25 concert week in May on Ticketmaster.

So far, for 2025, I only have 1 show booked in May- Amyl and the Sniffers.

I don't honestly know. The last album Third was released in 2008 and nothing else since then as Portishead. I don't think Beth Gibbons is interested in that. That's my impression, though it's hard to say as she manages to stay very private.

Despite his age and limited vocal range at this point, Billy Idol still manages to put on one hell of a fun show. I've seen him 6 or 7 times in the last 25 years and I'd still go again.

Wow, that's quite an endorsement. I think I may go for some lawn tickets for now which are $60 OR $165 for the cheapest ticket in the covered section. The only thing with lawns in May is that the weather can be really crappy in Toronto- cold, wet and windy. The venue is on the lake too. If I recall correctly, I think you mentioned before that you lived in Ohio, so you know what I'm talking about May weather being hit or miss.

I'm interested in the Simple Minds triple bill with Soft Cell and Modern English. Sucks it's booked for a Wednesday at a venue I don't really care for. I'll see what the ticket prices are like.

Saw Simple Minds in 1984...I was 17!

I’m pretty excited for that one. Live nation usually does concert week in early May where tickets to a lot of shows are $25. I suspect this will be one of them.

I saw him at a festival last summer and he absolutely killed it.

I got tickets for Supergrass in July! Never seen them but was a fan in the mid nineties. I think The Coral are supporting.

I just got a couple of tickets on the pre-sale...couldn't resist this show or wait for the $25 concert week. I got a couple of seats in the covered section, close to centre, $150 each.

So there’s a HUGE gig happening in my city on July 5th.

Will try and get tickets for me and my kids. I’m not that confident…

Three days to try and get tickets to ONE gig.

Two per household.

EPIC FAIL

Ticketmaster is fucking SHITE and not fir for purpose.

Would have cost me anywhere from £350 - £900 for a seat, not much less for standing. £3000 for the Gold standing

I just hope it gets put on pay to view

Those prices are absolutely mental, despite the event having the potential to be incredible.

All profits donated to charity rings different with Sharon involved. I heard Ozzy can't stand and will be seated for the show.

Watching some 70 year old guys with the singer sitting in a wheelchair (very fitting though)?

Yes, this will bring back the excitement of the early days.

Lol, I meant that I’m sure the vibe will be great. You know, thousands of similarly-aged people, half of them with kids, loads of young people who like Pantera, Gojira, etc.

I went and saw Phil Collins, and he did the whole show seated, and it was still great. His band was fantastic and he still sang like Phil Collins. :noclue:
