It never went below $6,000. I turned $100 in to $327 on stupid superbowl prop bets on an online betting site and am having that money transferred to bitcoin but it is taking forever and now it's nearly $9,000. I'm not brave enough to put much more in to it.Mescal wrote:So did you?creep wrote:OK...not time yet....but if it goes to $5500 I think I will buy...maybecreep wrote:Bitcoin went to $6500 today. It went up to about $340 and is now worth $175.
Bitcoin was $15,850 when he made the post and is now around $10,600.
It's pretty crazy how much you can make and lose on this stuff.
They went down to 5500 and they're back up now
Has anybody here bought Litecoin?

Oh, Bitcoin is also at $7200.
Re: Has anybody here bought Litecoin?
When I get a return of $1.3 in 2035 I’m going to laugh in your face so hard.

I can beat that with straightforward savings and ETFs over the next 17 years, with far less risk.
But, yeah, as I think I might have said before, these "currencies" are weird because they (were) being traded not as currency but as speculative futures. The bottom blew out of that market a while ago, and it seems that they'll either stabilize to the point where speculation is no longer lucrative (which is what it currently looks like, but maybe there will be a second boom -- it's impossible to say), or they'll eventually mostly fizzle out completely, with only one or two coming into mainstream use (at which point, it will be no different from putting some of your money in foreign currency -- not exactly the most likely thing to pay off).

Re: Has anybody here bought Litecoin?
Yeah crypto currency backers show your face and explain to me why now is the best time to buy.
