Re: Dave
Go figure. I haven't kept up with Ministry for about the last decade since it looked like Al was weeks away from kicking the bucket and the band did a crappy farewell tour.

Re: Dave
He and Al had talked about it on his show.
Did they do that guitar version of Halloween?

Re: Dave
Cool thanks! I had looked on setlistfm but they had the same setlist as all the other shows from this tour. Looks like it updated over there now.

He has done a lot of stuff he does one offs in Austin or SA quite a bit. I loved his Buck Satan stuff as well.Pandemonium wrote: ↑Fri Dec 21, 2018 9:27 amGo figure. Re: Dave
This indeed was super special. I actually think the last time Ministry played this song was in the early 80s.
I was blown away when they announced a couple of days ago that Dave and Chris Connelly were going to be playing with Ministry for these two shows in LA. I love Connelly, and Ministry has not been the same for me since he left in 1992. Having him re-join Al for the second time in two and a half decades was a big deal in and of itself, but Dave was also a nice bonus.
I was scrounging around last night for clips and found a few - thanks for posting the whole clip, and the ensuing nerdgasm.

Really? I was within the last 6 months that Reznor put up an IG and AJ had a beer with him and didn't look so sober.Six7Six7 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 21, 2018 9:40 pmHe's clean now and touring a new album.Pandemonium wrote: ↑Fri Dec 21, 2018 9:27 amGo figure. I think it's probably a point of contention for recovery experts, but I don't think it's uncommon for people who used to do hard drugs, to give them up, but still consume alcohol.
Re: Dave
6767 is right, he's not sober but he is not on the hard shit these days Angie played a big role in that. They played at the Aztec in SA a couple weeks ago. Last I heard from a mutual friend is he left EP and moved to LA, which is probably good for him not a lot of people to collab with in EP and stay clean.
This is some of my fave stuff he's done he had Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick on guitar for a lot of this

Re: Dave
Slightly longer version of the aforementioned clip, with Al's intro to the song saying that he's "high". Whatever high means.... Then again, his comment about never having played the song was just rubbish.

Re: Dave
Met a guy at a talk last quarter who had mentioned being clean and sober, and I thought I'd share my experience and congratulate him. Returning veteran who had shared his experience about coming back to the states. Anyway, to him clean and sober means he's not drinking or taking any psych meds from the VA, but smokes copious amounts of pot....Six7Six7 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 22, 2018 11:10 amClean ≠ SoberSR wrote: ↑Sat Dec 22, 2018 7:51 amReally?
